Goody Clancy
Project description
DM Engineers has been tasked with the comprehensive renovation of approximately 6,500 square feet of space currently designated for future library use, repurposing it for the Psychology Department. This project will integrate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection/alarm design considerations from the outset, ensuring a seamless and efficient renovation process. The design will prioritize flexibility, safety, and technological readiness to accommodate the complex needs of research and testing within the department.
The renovation will encompass a wide array of specialized spaces tailored to the department’s diverse needs, including dry research offices, open offices, and dedicated areas for social and cultural testing. The scope of the design work extends to the creation of observation rooms, testing rooms, a wet research room, RF rooms, and facilities for fear testing, alongside necessary restrooms and storage spaces. Each area will be designed to support the department’s multifaceted research activities, ensuring the space not only meets but exceeds the functional and technical requirements of the Psychology Department. DM Engineers is poised to deliver a project that exemplifies excellence in design and execution.
