School of Social Work LL88
Columbia University
Project description
DM Engineers successfully delivered comprehensive construction management services for Columbia University’s School of Social Work lighting upgrade project. The scope included 462 spaces, 3,383 fixtures, and 3,737 lighting control devices. Over the course of ten weeks, the team effectively managed every aspect of the project—from coordinating schedules with building occupants and managing access logistics to maintaining updated timelines and providing regular progress reports to CUFO Facilities.
To uphold the highest standards, DM Engineers implemented rigorous QA/QC protocols throughout. Customized project trackers were developed to monitor daily progress and verify subcontractor invoices, ensuring both accuracy and transparency. The team also provided commissioning services to confirm that all upgrades met the Owner Project Requirements and complied with the NYC Energy Conservation Code. This holistic approach ensured regulatory compliance, enhanced operational efficiency, and improved the facility’s environmental performance—resulting in a successful and sustainable project outcome.
