One Brooklyn Health System (OBHS) embarked on a significant renovation project for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located on the fifth floor of the CHC Building. This ambitious project involved transforming a 22,334 square foot area into a state-of-the-art 33-bed ICU. The primary objectives included relocating the existing 26-bed "ward-style" ICU to the new unit and converting seven unused Medical-Surgical (Med Surge) beds into seven ICU beds within the new unit.

NYC SCA Science Lab Renovation

The New York City School Construction Authority completed a full renovation of a science lab. DM Engineers, in collaboration with DMR Architects, developed a complete MEP design for the renovation project. The MEP design by our team consisted of upgrading the electrical systems, including electric panels, power distribution, lighting, low voltage, and data wiring. Upgrades to the plumbing systems included providing sanitary and water supply connections to the new plumbing fixtures and the complete removal of gas piping related to the science lab. The HVAC system upgrade provided an adequate and efficient exhaust system.
