CSI HS International Studies
NYC School Construction Authority
Project description
The New York City School Construction Authority completed a full renovation of a science lab at CSI High School for International Studies. DM Engineers, in collaboration with SEN Architects, developed a full MEP design for the renovation project.
The MEP design by our team consisted of upgrading the electrical systems, including electric panels, power distribution, lighting, low voltage, and data wiring. Upgrades to the plumbing systems included providing sanitary and water supply connections to the new plumbing fixtures, along with the complete removal of vacuum, air, and gas piping related to the science lab as required by DOE SCA Standards.
The upgrade to the HVAC system provided an adequate and efficient exhaust system for the lab room and for the fume hoods. DM Engineers performed a comprehensive study of the existing conditions and developed a feasibility report for the project. The design package was completed in February 2023.
