DM Engineers has played a crucial role in this project, focusing on MEP design, creating comprehensive bidding documents, and overseeing all MEP aspects during construction. Our vision is to craft a cohesive space that enhances functionality and aesthetics, aligning with ongoing campus upgrades. We reviewed campus-supplied design documents and existing scanned drawings for code compliance, documented existing MEP conditions within the designated work area, and developed new or modified designs for mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm systems based on layout requirements. Additionally, we coordinated with the architect on above-ceiling elements for lighting layouts and other relevant components.

DM Engineers led the successful redesign and implementation of the fuel oil tank system at Columbia University following the discovery of corrosion-related failure in the existing 2,000-gallon steel tank. The damage, caused by prolonged water infiltration in the tank room, prompted the replacement with a new 2,500-gallon double-wall fuel oil tank equipped with main level sensors and high/low-level alarms.
