Microbiology Suite HVAC Upgrade

DM Engineers was engaged to support and legalize the replacement of the HVAC unit serving the Microbiology space, which was altered to accommodate ten workstation hoods and exhaust fans. As the Engineer of Record, DM Engineers oversaw the comprehensive design and implementation of the new HVAC system, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This project involved the specification and installation of a 16-ton rooftop unit, exhaust fans, and steam coils to support the enhanced operational requirements of the microbiology laboratory. The design team provided detailed engineering drawings, performed necessary calculations, and coordinated with contractors to ensure seamless integration of the new equipment into the existing infrastructure. Additionally, DM Engineers facilitated the permitting process and conducted final inspections to verify the system's performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
