Pamoja House

Pamoja House, built in the late 18th century as a military facility, is now a men’s homeless shelter. It is owned by the Department of Homeless Services and managed by the Black Veterans of Social Justice, providing housing for up to 200 men.

The project involved providing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design services to renovate the bathrooms and adjacent tank rooms in the building’s Drill Hall. The renovation included updating the infrastructure for the bathrooms and additional facilities, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and agency guidelines. The completed upgrades feature new plumbing fixtures, HVAC services, energy-efficient LED lighting, fire alarm devices, and electrical outlets, significantly improving functionality, safety, and comfort for the residents.
