IMC Essential Electrical System - Project Gallery

Project description

DM Engineers is providing commissioning services for the Essential Electrical System (EES) separation project at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, led by One Brooklyn Health System.

The scope includes the installation of new electrical risers supported by a generator, switchgear, and automatic transfer switches to ensure reliable emergency power. Throughout construction, DM Engineers is developing and executing commissioning checklists, performing functional testing, managing MEP deficiency logs via Facility Grid, and reviewing O&M manuals and training materials. The team is also compiling the Commissioning Record and actively participating in construction and commissioning meetings.

As the project advances, DM Engineers continues to verify the performance of key electrical systems. This includes dielectric and insulation resistance testing, reviewing short-circuit and arc flash studies, ensuring proper alignment of fuses and circuit breakers, and functionally testing transfer switches and surge protective devices.

Scheduled for completion in December 2025, DM Engineers will deliver a final commissioning report and near-warranty-end review to confirm the system’s long-term reliability, safety, and compliance.
